First I have to say that I do not like surprises. I’m the kind of girl who will shake all her Christmas presents on Christmas eve and try to figure out what is what! However, my girlfriends wanted to surprise me on the day of my baby shower. They hired Erica to help decorate for my first baby shower. I have never been more pleasantly surprised! The main thing I want to emphasize here is “personal touches”. My husband and I didn’t do the traditional decorations in our nursery…we are doing a pirate theme and that’s what I wanted for the shower as well. Erica must have spent hours shopping for pirate themed merchandise to not only decorate with but to also use for our son’s new room if I wanted. She used fishing nets, a pirate ship, a ships wheel and a treasure chest full of cute pirate clothes! She even printed small treasure maps out for “mommy advice” cards and personally burned each one to give it an authentic treasure map feel. She also had a gift for my husband which was a black/white skull and crossbones football which he absolutely loved. I was absolutely amazed with the attention to detail! She set everything up and when the shower was over promptly removed serving dishes, etc and helped clean our kitchen! The baby shower was an absolute success! I would highly recommend Erica to host your next party of any kind! She will spend the time to get to know your personal needs, what your ideas are and run with them….she over delivered in my opinion!

An Elegant Affair Events provided excellent services in planning and then coordinating a “masquerade ball” style party for our daughter’s seventeenth birthday. Erica was enthusiastic, organized and well prepared. She held a planning session with us bringing a lot of creative ideas and pictures to help us visualize the plan. She also coordinated with the facility where the party was held making sure all of the details were addressed. On the day of the event, she had everything ready well in advance of the party. She provided superb customer service to our family and guests. The decorations, food and drink serving tables were beautifully done. One of the “fun features” she provided was the mens’ and womens’ restroom care kits with essentials such as mouthwash, mints and hairspray etc. She also assisted us in coordinating a DJ who was very good and in addition to the great job he did, was very polite and professional. He did an excellent job of both playing the music our daughter had requested and keeping the guests engaged. We were very pleased with the attention and service we received from An Elegant Affair Events. We would highly recommend this business to anyone planning their special event.

It is three months after my wedding and I am still receiving compliments from friends and family on how much they enjoyed the entire experience. While I wish I could take credit for the extraordinary day, honestly, the only part I can claim responsibility for is the wise decision to hire our planner Erica Spitulski. This woman took me from overwhelmed bride with little direction to a gal glowing as she floated down the aisle. Erica provides the perfect balance of listening and guiding. She immediately honed in on my tastes and matched me with appropriate vendors. She always remained open to any of my suggestions and willingly attended appointments with potential service providers I had unearthed on my own. Without putting on pressure, Erica was always able to offer honest insight and advice. She was my voice when I wasn’t sure what I wanted or needed to say and stepped up to try to make my vision a reality. I truly believe I ended up with a wedding that was far more beautiful than I could have ever singularly come up with on my budget. Erica was my meeting maker, idea chaser, budget monitor, and most importantly – my cheerleader. When I was up for nights on end putting our invitations together, Erica kept sending words of encouragement. She speaks the language of caterers, florists, designers, and servers. Erica was my Rosetta Stone in the world of formal entertaining. If things went awry, she handled them so deftly, I was never made to worry or stress over the details of the day. As Erica saw us off into our getaway car, we realized she had managed to squeeze in a final treat…a little wedding picnic basket filled with delish noshes. Every detail had been seen to and we just got to sit back, snack, and revisit all of the elegant events of the day.

Thank you for your assistance with the wedding. I don’t know how we could have done it without you. It was such a relief to have somebody taking care of all the details, and there were more than I could have imagined, so Meredith and I could enjoy the evening. I was especially impressed with the care you gave to the personal things we brought to the venue. There was nothing for me to do after the wedding. The toasting glasses were carefully packaged, the handmade crystal decorations removed and packaged from the wishing tree and the luminaries packed as they had been delivered. You made cleanup a snap. Thank you also for the concern and help you gave me in finding the missing gift cards. Looking in the trash for something I lost was not in your contract and I appreciate your help. Meredith and Kyle appreciated the food basket in the carriage. It even had plates as forks! The accessories in the bathroom were an up-scale touch and the care basket in the bride’s room came in handy. We enjoyed working with you and I can advise any bride and mother of the bride to have you assist them. We enjoyed a beautiful wedding.

I don’t think I knew what kind of service I would be receiving when I came to you to coordinate my wedding day. The service you provided exceeded my expectations. Not only did you make everything come together, but you made us feel at ease knowing everything was taken care of. The kid’s table you set up was awesome. We would have never thought of that. We were planning to use regular wine glasses for the toast, but you totally surprised us with champagne flutes on the cake table. When I saw that, I thought – this woman is amazing! You even went so far as to put up street signs to help direct our guests to the wedding. These are just a few things I saw that were above and beyond the call of duty. I know there were plenty more behind the scenes that I didn’t see. You were easy to work with, organized, and professional. I know working with Nigerians is not always an easy task, but you handled it beautifully! I was able to relax and actually enjoy my wedding day. There is no doubt in my mind that every bride needs to hire you for their wedding. I just can’t say it enough – thank you so much for everything you did for us.

Three days before my wedding (in a panic) I caved and decided I needed to hire a coordinator for my wedding. Erica was recommended to me through the catering manager at my wedding venue and she just happened to be available. She was everything I could have asked for and more! With three days til the wedding, she met with me to get all the details and then hit the ground running. Another added challenge was that I had an Indian wedding, which has about 25 extra elements than most American weddings. Even though Erica had never done an Indian wedding, its like she became an expert overnight! She really went above and beyond her call of duty, and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. If I didn’t have her there, I’m pretty sure it would have been a bit disasterous. I was actually able to enjoy my wedding (which she kept reminding me to do) and she took care of the rest. She even left us a bottle of champagne in our honeymoon suite. Attention to detail is Erica’s greatest strength. In short, if you are wondering if you should hire her as your coordinator just know that it was the best money I spent the whole wedding.
